Söll WasserpflanzenSubstrat consists of lava, granulated clay and limestone. A fine and muddy root area is created in which the plants can anchor themselves. Aquatic plants substrate gradually releases plant-available nutrients to the root system and ensures splendid, healthy plant growth. Aquatic plants grow better and show more intense colors.
Söll WasserpflanzenSubstrat contains no organic components, so that neither algae growth nor putrefaction is promoted. The growing medium does not float and, unlike peat products, has no negative impact on the pH of the pond water.

Ideal for swamp, floating leaf and underwater plants as well as water lilies. Planting with aquatic plants Plant a layer of 5 to 15 cm thick. If the substrate is placed in water, this can lead to turbidity. It is advisable to first plant and then fill the pond with water. If there are fish or waves, cover it with gravel to prevent the floating of the substrate.
